The lake Savalen is located in scenic and idyllic surroundings, elevation 707 meter, in the northern mountainous part of the eastern valley. 190 km south of Trondheim,  330 km north of Oslo and 281 km east of Molde Savalen is centrally located and easily accessible whichever your starting point.

Since 1963 when Sindre and Grete Hektoen obtained Savalen Turisthytte (mountain lodge) focus has been on development of the destination. By offering a great varity of activities and good experiences for their guests, the resort has gradually grown.

Today Savalen offers a total of approx. 700 beds in hotelrooms, suites, different types of aprtments, as well as private cottages for rent.

• -At Savalen Fjellhotell & Spa you'll find 230 beds in standard guestrooms, de-luxe rooms, mountain and Spa suites.
• -In Santa Street you'll find 18 apartments, 45 sq.m. or 68 sq.m., with 2 or 3 bedrooms accordingly.
• -Savalen Loghouses have 20 apartments, 60 sq.m., and with 2 bedrooms.
• -Savalen Apartment Hotel has 9 lapartments, 35 sq.m. or 45 sq.m., both with two bedrooms.
• -In addition we have private cottages for rent through Savalen Booking with max. 20 beds per cottage.
